MOMA redesigned its spaces on the 5th floor, and assigned Brancusi an entire room alone.

Gallery RIVAA in New York in partnership with ICRNY hosted the opening reception of the “Angels go North” sculpture exhibition by Romanian sculptor Mircea Lacatus. The artist also read some of his poems in Romanian, followed by same poems translated in English and read by Adela Sinclair. Finally a cello recital by Romanian cellist Ariana Arcu ended a beautiful evening on Roosevelt Island.

I’ve decided to make an exception to the theme of my blog and share with you my father’s (1911-1990) art collection. He loved art and collected a few works of Romanian artists, some known, some unknown, but certainly worth admiring.
