Do you like Shakespeare? If you do, and if you live in New York, than you’re lucky. Come to Roosevelt Island to see Much Ado About Nothing played by those young professional actors from Island Shakespeare company. I was fortunate to watch them rehearsing for their upcoming play. It’s a lot of hard work, and in the same time a lot of fun, as you can see from my images below.

Upper west side is also home to one of the most prestigious schools in the country, Columbia University. It’s a few blocks away from the cathedral you saw in my post yesterday, making this neighborhood unique and interesting to the visitor.

Upper West side is home to an important landmark, the St John the Divine Cathedral. According to Wikipedia, this is the fourth largest Christian church in the world.

Today I will show you a few images from Roosevelt Island, as some call it the best kept secret of Manhattan. Technically, from the organizational point of view, this is also Manhattan. Islanders can travel to Manhattan by subway or by the newly renovated cable car (tram) , which is also a Manhattan tourist attraction.
