Annual Bodypainting day took place in Manhattan today. Models, artists and many newyorkers in the audience. See below.
Images from the 4th of July fireworks organized every year in Manhattan, sponsored by Macy’s since 1976, seen from Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island. More than 3000 people waited few hours for the event to start on a rainy evening.
Just a 5 minutes ferry ride from the southern tip of Manhattan takes you to Governor’s Island , a nice place to spend a few hours (or more), with a beautiful Manhattan’s panorama in front of your eyes.
Or at least trying…went to Washington Square Park for the Bernie rally, but gave up because of the huge lines to get in – 27,000 people according to NY Times. Great photo opportunity though, results below.
Actually more like the cold (40 degrees in April), the wind and the rain, because I’ve decided to experience live american politics. There was a Bernie event close to my house at LPAC in Long Island City. They have a big hall of 740 seats which was full by the time we got there, and a small 180 seats hall where we sat. Bernie gave a short speech in the small room first, then moved to the bigger audience when we left. Overall it was an interesting experience.
