Today, people on Roosevelt Island organized a peaceful rally against the local Public Safety Department, an organization which theoretically should provide a safe environment for island residents (more than 14000), which lately, under current leadership, displayed a pattern of brutality and abusive behavior against the very same people they are supposed to protect.
