Another fantastic show, Vernissage XIII, organized by members of RIVAA, opened last night at gallery on Roosevelt Island. If you live in the area please stop by.
Today, the Ukrainian-American community in New York organized a demonstration at Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island, just across the United Nations building, protesting against the Crimean occupation by Russia, at the exact moment when the UN security council was voting to impose sanctions on Russia. The guest speaker was US congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, representing Manhattan in the US Congress. You can see my pictures from this meeting here.
Last year at the US open in New York, I took several images during training sessions of the best tennis players. I came up with a very interesting image of Roger’s wife, as you can see below.
This week Broadway and Times Square is called “Super Bowl boulevard” in anticipation of the great super-bowl which will take place this Sunday in New Jersey. While I am not a football fan, this gave me the opportunity to take great images. Hope you’ll like them.
I just recreated the time-lapse video from the opening of my exhibition, with a slightly longer display time (.9 sec) for each frame. The end result is a 6 min video, which (in my opinion) gives the viewer a better sense of the event.
A lot of people came tonight to the opening of my photography show, and considering the weather (cold and snow) the success is even bigger. For those who could not come, you still have a chance to see the exhibition if you live in the area – it will be open till March 2nd. Here are few images.
