Roosevelt Island’s theater company is preparing their new play, Measure for Measure. Today I had the pleasure to watch them rehearsing and I took pictures of this very talented group of young actors. For those who live close by, come see the show, you’ll love it. For the rest, enjoy my images. More to come soon, from the costumed rehearsal.
Roosevelt Island
I don’t, but apparently some people do, so bad that they want everybody else to know (and pay extra money for this silly licence plate). I assume this points to a TV series, I love Lucy.
Last month, a new park was opened in New York City. It is a memorial dedicated to president Franklin D Roosevelt, build on the southern tip of Roosevelt Island, after the plans of architect Louis I Kahn. The park was named Four Freedoms Park and this link will give you all the information you want about it. As a Roosevelt Island resident I can share that building the park on the island generated a lot of heated debates about the design, environment, Manhattan views, etc. Yesterday I finally saw it and I took the images below. Curious to see your feedback about the park, do you like it?
Amazing what a cell phone camera can do these days.
Back in February 2010, we had one of those rare days with snow in Manhattan, which resulted in these nice images below. Needless to say that by next day all that white beauty was gone…

My blog just passed the 10,000 hits threshold. To have the full picture, those hits came from 32 countries over a 6 weeks time-frame. Today’s post about the Shakespeare play on Roosevelt Island had over 1100 hits, which means people liked it – so be prepared for another series of pictures from this wonderful performance, coming tomorrow. And don’t forget to come and see the show if you live in Manhattan. You will not regret it.
More images from Much Ado About Nothing, preformed by Island Shakespeare on Roosevelt Island, starting tonight. I took those images during the last fully costumed rehearsal. If you live in New York, don’t miss this performance. If not, enjoy my images.

My new friends from Island Shakespeare invited me to a nice rooftop party, which gave me the opportunity to take these panoramic images of Manhattan East-side and Queensboro bridge.
