Every year, 5th Avenue in Manhattan is the host of another parade, celebrating everything Irish – St Patrick’s Day Parade. Here’s some images I took in last year’s parade.

Just about one hour away from Manhattan (no traffic…) there is this wonderful park where people can relax for a day, and escape the “jungle” of skyscrapers. You can walk in the forest on the numerous trails, or just relax by the lake (seven of them) and enjoy the scenery.
Have you heard of Montserrat? No, not the famous opera singer, but a small country. I didn’t, until tonight. To my surprise, on the list of countries which show me my blog’s visitors’ geographic location, this new name appeared. I immediately “googled” it, and I found out it’s a small island in the Caribbean, with about 6000 inhabitants. One of them discovered my blog tonight, and I hope he/she enjoyed my pictures. I feel honored and I salute my reader from Montserrat.
Back in February 2010, we had one of those rare days with snow in Manhattan, which resulted in these nice images below. Needless to say that by next day all that white beauty was gone…
As promised in my last post, more pictures from Island Shakespeare play Much Ado About Nothing, on Roosevelt Island.
Such an interesting subject this photographer choose to shoot, on a bench in Central Park… What you actually do not see is the squirrel in the lower right corner, which this guy was actually shooting. I was sitting on a bench across those guys, and got this great, really funny shot. Central Park is an endless source of great photography.
Today I celebrate one month since I started this blog, and I believe the statistics so far are very good. My images have been seen on all continents, and I like how the list of countries grows slowly. Therefore I will keep posting more images from New York, my home for the last 18 years. Besides, I was able to discover interesting blogs of the people who follow me or like my photography, and that is a nice experience too. So keep visiting my blog frequently, to enjoy more photos to come.
Do you like Shakespeare? If you do, and if you live in New York, than you’re lucky. Come to Roosevelt Island to see Much Ado About Nothing played by those young professional actors from Island Shakespeare company. I was fortunate to watch them rehearsing for their upcoming play. It’s a lot of hard work, and in the same time a lot of fun, as you can see from my images below.
